Seeing that this was The Surf Stop's first ever Summer in existence, the crew wanted to go out with a bang. The date was set for Labor Day weekend. The artists were all on board, we had Ryan Ropes with Ann the Van, Dj Joe Donut had his playlist ready, then the storm came...thankfully the oldest city was spared by Mr. Dorian and all was right again and we were able to reschedule the shop hangs. So, without further ado, here is a recap of how awesome our STA community is!

Can't forget all the rad raffles from our awesome sponsors!
"I love being surrounded by creative people at events! I get really nervous being in crowds/in front of people, but I felt so comfortable and welcomed at this Shop Hangs. So many supportive and unique people I got to see and meet."
We were very fortunate to have Ryan Ropero with photomobile.co be able to come set up with Ann the van for the evening. Ryan is a super rad human who loves to support the community and local businesses. Consider booking Ryan and Ann for your next event! @photomobile.co
"3 words to describe October's hop hangs at the Surf Stop: everyone is smiling. Having the opportunity to partake in such a wholesome, uplifting event introduced me to so many of our town's fellow creatives. I am thankful for this platform to also share my own artwork, and to be beside so many of my friends [old and new] while doing it". -Jackie Knmit

And a HUGE thank you shout out goes to our awesome Flagler College intern, Adrienne, who absolutely rocked her first Shop Hangs. You can find her manning the stop Mondays and Wednesdays 3-6 and every other Saturday.
"The back to school shop hang was my first event as an intern at the Surf Stop. I’m glad I was able to help Kayla (and everyone else involved) to make the event run smoothly. Shoutout to Kayla and the shop’s hard work in organizing the event, giving local artists a platform to shine on, and putting together the awesome raffles! It was such a great experience seeing members from the Saint Augustine community supporting a local business and local artists! I’m grateful to be apart of the WSMS team and I’m excited for more shop hangs in the future!" -Adrienne Ruberti
Thank you again, from our family to yours, for coming out and supporting our dream. We are continuously blown away by the STA community and all the extremely rad creatives that reside here. Be sure to come check out our next first Saturday shop hangs, November 2nd!
Our flagship retail store recently expanded and during this time of adjustment- only limited items will be available through our website. Please reach out to us directly with any questions or if you are looking for something specific to purchase online!
